Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients across a spectrum of age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques to pinpoint needs effectively.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on both immediate objectives and comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions concentrating on various areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and caregivers to ensure unified patient care strategies.
• Engage and educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions and consistent care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation adhering to all applicable state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting your role.
