Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized tools and skilled clinical observation.
• Design individualized treatment plans that target both immediate functional goals and longer-range outcomes related to communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing areas including language, voice, fluency, articulation, and dysphagia.
• Function as an active member of an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, nursing staff, and family caregivers.
• Provide education and training to patients and their support systems to reinforce therapeutic progress between sessions.
• Contribute to inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatment as needed to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain complete, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with organizational, state, and federal requirements.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion required if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Arkansas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) through ASHA is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
