Role Description

• Conduct individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language expression, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to craft cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education to both patients and their families to encourage progress outside of clinical interactions.
• Occasionally support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity in care throughout the recovery process.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation complies with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest advances in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Education Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications Required

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of employment.
