What You'll Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including detailed history-taking and comprehensive physical examinations
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory data to support surgical diagnoses and guide treatment planning
• Work side by side with surgeons to develop and carry out individualized surgical care plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance — from room preparation and patient positioning to instrument handling throughout procedures
• Manage the full continuum of perioperative care, including medication oversight, wound management, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required
• Clinical rotations with a surgical concentration are strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Valid Arizona state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain it
