Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including complete physical examinations and in-depth medical history reviews prior to surgical intervention
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and clinical data to support accurate surgical assessment and diagnosis
• Partner directly with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized surgical care plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including OR setup, patient positioning, instrument handling, and sterile field maintenance throughout procedures
• Manage pre- and post-operative patient care encompassing wound management, medication protocols, recovery education, and coordinated discharge planning

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with a meaningful emphasis on surgical subspecialties strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure
