Job Description

• Perform thorough patient assessments, involving physical examinations and comprehensive evaluations of medical histories
• Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions through careful analysis of imaging studies and lab results
• Collaborate intimately with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical care plans
• Offer intraoperative assistance, such as preparing surgical rooms, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, and providing the necessary instruments during operations
• Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, managing wounds, planning for discharge, and educating patients

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred

Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
