Description

• Assess patients of all ages, using a mix of standardized testing and observational evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment plans that prioritize short-term goals while addressing long-term communication and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively alongside physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to craft comprehensive care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to reinforce progress outside the clinical setting.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure cohesive care through all stages of treatment.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of hire.
