Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ARRT-certified Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility serving the Pacific Northwest region. This role involves assisting cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures by ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate data collection. The technologist operates fluoroscopy equipment to provide optimal images for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, while also managing billing and procedural documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Operate and ensure proper functioning of cardiac catheterization imaging equipment.
• Assist physicians by capturing appropriate images and sequences during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Manage communication flow within the lab, including coordination of pages, specimen handling, and housekeeping requests.
• Perform monitoring duties by acquiring hemodynamic and electrophysiological data through computerized systems.
• Support physicians as a scrub technician during coronary arteriography and cardiac interventions.
• Maintain proficiency across radiographic, monitoring, and scrub technician roles through ongoing education and training.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of two years experience in a cardiac catheterization lab preferred; recent graduates from Radiology Technology programs within the last two years may be considered.
• Alternatively, licensed Radiation Technologists with five years of recent experience are eligible.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid CRT (California Radiologic Technology certificate) required.
• California Fluoroscopy permit required.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
• Additional unit-specific certifications may be necessary.

Additional Information

Successful candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background check prior to employment. A sign-on bonus of $18,000 is available, paid out as $3,000 monthly over six months following 30 days of employment, contingent upon a minimum of two years of cardiac cath lab experience.
