Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technologist to join a compassionate healthcare team serving the Pacific Northwest coastal region. This role involves performing screening, diagnostic, and invasive breast imaging exams with precision and care, supporting the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases in adult and geriatric patients. The technologist exercises independent judgment to determine when additional imaging or radiologist consultation is necessary, adhering strictly to regulatory and MQSA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, including adherence to infection control protocols.
• Conduct screening, diagnostic, and invasive breast exams following established procedures.
• Use independent judgment to decide on additional views or radiologist involvement as needed.
• Ensure accurate billing and thorough documentation of all imaging procedures.
• Enter exam-related data into department computer systems accurately.
• Provide support to other clinical areas when not engaged in imaging activities.

Education

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program, verified through licensure.

Licenses and Certifications

• California Registered Technologist Mammography (CRTM) license is required.
• American Radiologic Registry Technologist (ARRT) license required within 15 months of initial training.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology Mammography (ARRTM) certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Experience and Requirements

• Documentation of at least 25 supervised mammograms from an accredited facility.
• Completion of 8 continuing education units in digital mammography.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.

All candidates must successfully pass a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with regional health mandates, including COVID-19 vaccination protocols, is required.
