Position Overview

This leadership role holds full accountability for the delivery of high-quality nursing care and the operational management of an intensive care unit within a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest. The Clinical Nurse Manager integrates, facilitates, and coordinates leadership, management, quality improvement, and clinical activities to ensure exceptional patient care. Serving as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource, this individual supports nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to foster a collaborative and compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment, including adherence to unit-based safety and infection control protocols.
• Lead and coordinate operational, clinical, and quality improvement initiatives within the assigned patient care unit.
• Act as a mentor and clinical resource for nursing staff and healthcare team members, promoting professional development and best practices.
• Stay informed on regional healthcare issues, community standards, and provider networks to support strategic planning and implementation.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage staff disciplinary processes in alignment with organizational policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support unit and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years clinical experience in a leadership capacity.
• At least two years of management experience within a clinical setting.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a related bachelor's degree is required.
• Master’s degree (MSN, MBA, MHA, or relevant leadership field) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the applicable state is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required where applicable.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is required for Labor & Delivery and NICU roles.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates must pass a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with regional COVID-19 vaccination mandates is required.
