Senior Registered Nurse – ICU

Qualifications:

• Requires two (2) years of full-time professional registered nursing experience including two (2) years of full-time experience in ICU.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
• Must possess a current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification by the first day of employment.
• Must possess a current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Must obtain a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities:

• Executes nursing processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, adjusting as necessary.
• Administers nursing care aligning with hospital policies and Patient Bill of Rights
• Guides others in complex patient issues. Conducts patient and staff education, coordinates programs, and engages in hospital committees.
• Identifies and addresses deficiencies in practices or equipment. 
• Leads performance improvement initiatives and problem-solving. Facilitates patient care conferences and acts as a preceptor for new nurses. Additional duties as needed.
