What You Will Do

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to support surgical diagnosis and treatment planning
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized, patient-centered surgical care plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including operating room preparation, ensuring proper patient positioning, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound assessment, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required
• Clinical rotations with a focus on surgical specialties are strongly preferred

Certifications Required

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• California state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or verified eligibility to obtain licensure
