Description

• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations using both standardized tools and clinical observation.
• Design individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that address communication, language processing, fluency, voice, cognitive-linguistic function, and swallowing disorders.
• Deliver hands-on, one-on-one therapy interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs, background, and goals.
• Partner with interdisciplinary care teams — including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and social workers — to ensure cohesive and coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic strategies that reinforce progress between clinical sessions.
• Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, maintaining continuity across care settings.
• Produce accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education, peer consultation, and engagement with emerging evidence-based practices.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification has not yet been awarded.

Certifications

• Active California state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
