Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and in-depth review of medical histories prior to surgical procedures
• Assist in interpreting diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and clinical data to support accurate surgical diagnoses
• Partner directly with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment and surgical care plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Deliver hands-on intraoperative assistance, including patient positioning, sterile field maintenance, and precise instrument handling throughout procedures
• Provide attentive pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound assessment, patient and family education, and coordinated discharge planning

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a demonstrated emphasis in surgical disciplines strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid California state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure
