Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a full range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging procedures
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures, communicating each step clearly and with genuine warmth
• Partner with radiologists, referring physicians, and multidisciplinary clinical staff to deliver accurate, timely diagnostic imaging
• Operate, monitor, and maintain ultrasound equipment, escalating any technical concerns or malfunctions without delay
• Maintain thorough, precise documentation and patient records within the electronic health records system
• Pursue ongoing professional development by staying current with emerging techniques, technology, and best practices in sonographic imaging

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is strongly preferred

Certifications Required

• Active certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credentialing body
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
