What You Will Be Doing

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target each patient's unique communication, language, fluency, voice, cognitive-linguistic, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions grounded in the latest evidence-based practices.
• Partner closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, caregivers, and families to ensure a seamlessly integrated approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their support networks on strategies to reinforce therapeutic progress between sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed to support continuity of care across the treatment continuum.
• Keep documentation accurate, timely, and fully compliant with state, federal, and facility-specific standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education, peer consultation, and active engagement with advances in the field.

Education Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates who have not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
