Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessment tools and observational clinical methods.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target short- and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions with a focus on meaningful, functional outcomes for each patient.
• Partner with interdisciplinary care teams - including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and physicians - to ensure cohesive, whole-person treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on home-based strategies to reinforce and accelerate progress between sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to support seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education, evidence-based practice, and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Active California state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
