Job Description

• Perform thorough patient assessments encompassing physical examinations and in-depth reviews of medical and surgical histories
• Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies, lab work, and other diagnostic findings
• Partner closely with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized, patient-centered surgical treatment plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative support, including room preparation, patient positioning, and precise instrument management throughout procedures
• Deliver attentive pre- and post-operative care — including medication administration, wound management, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a meaningful surgical component is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid California state licensure as a Physician Assistant, or verified eligibility to obtain it

• Solid foundational and applied knowledge of surgical principles and sterile technique
• Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic data and contribute meaningfully to complex clinical decisions
