Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to perform diagnostic, fluoroscopic, CT, and radiography procedures with minimal supervision. This role requires technical expertise and independent judgment to ensure accurate imaging and patient care in accordance with established protocols. The technologist will work under the guidance of the CT/IR supervisor and contribute to a collaborative clinical team in a regional healthcare setting within the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
• Welcome patients and provide clear education about procedures to patients and their families.
• Assist patients with transportation to examination rooms and positioning on the examination table.
• Operate CT scanners using appropriate scan parameters, adjusting KV and MA settings according to patient needs and regulatory standards such as Title 17 and ALARA principles.
• Manage contrast injector delivery systems and screen all contrast procedures for risk factors, documenting findings in patient records.
• Record relevant patient history, note any unusual conditions or limitations, and document incidents or variances as necessary.

Education and Experience

• Experience in fluoroscopy, emergency room, portable radiography, minor invasive procedures, and some operating room exposure is required.
• Preferred experience includes CT procedures in a medical center environment and invasive CT procedures.
• At least one year of hospital-based clinical medical experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• California Registered Technologist (CRT) license is required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT must be obtained within one year of hire or training initiation.
• Venipuncture certification is required within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider is required upon hire.

Additional Requirements

All candidates must successfully complete a physical evaluation, urine drug screening, and pre-employment background checks prior to starting work. Compliance with regional COVID-19 vaccination mandates is required, with documented proof or approved exceptions.
