Position Overview

This role supports the imaging technologist by handling all non-technical aspects of imaging exams. Responsibilities include assisting with patient movement, maintaining records, documenting procedures, compiling films, and submitting images for interpretation. The position upholds high standards of conduct and ethics within the patient care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Work under the guidance of the technical or clinical team within the department.
• Manage film library and front desk duties, including film purging.
• Operate RadNet application for patient tracking and historical record review.
• Provide expertise in PACS application: quality assurance, digital image processing, filming studies, digitizing hard copy films, CD burning, and other digital workflows.
• Assist technologists and nursing staff with patient movement and exam table positioning.
• Maintain strong knowledge of patient and equipment safety across Radiology and Cardiology units.
• Support general housekeeping tasks such as equipment cleaning, high dusting, and transport gurney maintenance.
• Assist with complex patient lifts, transfers, transport, discharge, and positioning.
• Collaborate with Radiology Support team members to deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide immediate feedback on patient flow, escalate complex transport or technical issues to supervisors, and document problem resolutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year patient care experience preferred.

Education

• High School diploma or GED required.

Certification

• Current BLS certification required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider preferred.
