Overview

You will operate diagnostic sonography equipment and independently perform a broad spectrum of ultrasound procedures in a community hospital setting that serves patients across all age groups, from newborns through geriatrics. Responsibilities

• Independently operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform studies at a technical level that does not require direct supervision
• Perform a full range of ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Abdominal and soft tissue imaging
  • Obstetric and gynecologic studies
  • Pelvic examinations
  • Abdominal vascular sonography
  • Thyroid, testicular, and breast imaging
• Deliver competent, compassionate care across all patient age groups, from neonatal to geriatric populations
• Operate in alignment with the hospital's established philosophy, mission, clinical objectives, and departmental policies
• Contribute to a radiology department culture that supports high-quality diagnostic output and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

Education

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound or diagnostic medical sonography training program, or equivalent comparable clinical experience
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Required: Registered, or registry-eligible, through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or an equivalent nationally recognized certifying organization
• Preferred: Registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Experience

• New graduates are welcome and eligible -- this position is open to both entry-level and experienced sonographers

Preferred Skills

• Multi-modality imaging familiarity or interest in cross-training into additional radiology disciplines
