What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, and developing individualized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, and episodic conditions with physician collaboration or independent practice authority
• Empowering patients and their families through education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and long-term wellness strategies
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions within your full scope of practice
• Providing ongoing follow-up and coordinating chronic disease management across care settings
• Contributing to interdisciplinary care teams to ensure cohesive and patient-centered outcomes
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation within electronic medical record systems

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner graduate program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington, DC
• National certification through AANP or ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or recognized specialty equivalent
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
