Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including physical examinations and comprehensive review of medical histories prior to surgical intervention
• Assist in interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory data to support accurate surgical diagnoses and treatment planning
• Work in close partnership with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized surgical care plans
• Provide active intraoperative assistance including room preparation, patient positioning oversight, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver high-quality perioperative care spanning medication management, wound assessment, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a surgical concentration are strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid Florida state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure

Skills

• Solid foundation in surgical technique, sterile field protocol, and intraoperative best practices
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex diagnostic results and contribute meaningfully to clinical decision-making
