Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Interpret laboratory findings and diagnostic imaging to assist in identifying and confirming surgical diagnoses
• Work alongside attending surgeons to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment and surgical care plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance — from room preparation and patient positioning to instrument handling throughout procedures
• Oversee pre- and post-operative care including wound management, medication protocols, discharge coordination, and patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a PA program accredited by ARC-PA
• Clinical rotations with a focus on surgical disciplines are strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active, unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid Florida state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure

Skills

• Solid foundation in surgical principles, sterile field management, and intraoperative protocols
• Ability to synthesize complex clinical data and contribute meaningfully to care decisions
• Exceptional verbal and written communication across diverse patient populations
