Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and formulate individualized treatment strategies
• Provide physical therapy treatments aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and day-to-day function
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and a multidisciplinary rehab team to ensure optimized patient outcomes
• Guide patients and their families through therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and necessary home exercises
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to regulatory standards and facility policies
• Engage in interdisciplinary team rounds and conferences to promote coordinated patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Must hold a valid state license as a DPT
• CPR certification preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (for instance, in geriatrics or neurology) are advantageous, though not mandatory
