What You Will Be Doing

• Perform thorough patient assessments encompassing complete physical examinations and in-depth review of medical histories and surgical risk factors
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to assist in the evaluation and confirmation of surgical diagnoses
• Work hand in hand with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique clinical profile
• Provide skilled intraoperative assistance including sterile field management, patient positioning, and instrument handling throughout a range of surgical procedures
• Oversee pre- and post-operative patient care including wound management, medication protocols, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a fully accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with a concentration in surgical settings is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure
