Description

• Assess individuals from pediatric to geriatric groups using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Conduct focused therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure integrated care.
• Educate patients and their families, enabling progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure cohesive care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements through continuous education and peer engagement.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hiring.
