Job Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, encompassing physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
• Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions through diagnostic imaging and laboratory results
• Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement patient-specific surgical treatment strategies
• Offer intraoperative assistance by preparing operating rooms, confirming patient positioning, and providing instruments during surgery
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care that includes administering medications, managing wounds, planning discharges, and educating patients

Education

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgery is highly desirable

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
