Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations using standardized tools and clinical observation.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, swallowing, voice, language, fluency, and cognitive-linguistic function.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions that are evidence-based, patient-centered, and built around meaningful functional outcomes.
• Work hand-in-hand with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses, and family members to deliver seamless, whole-person care.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and caregivers to reinforce progress and support carryover beyond the clinic walls.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed to ensure continuity across care settings.
• Complete timely, thorough documentation in compliance with applicable state, federal, and facility guidelines.
• Engage in continuing education, peer collaboration, and professional development to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) must be completed or currently underway if ASHA certification has not yet been awarded.

Certifications

• Active Florida state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.
