Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including detailed physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories prior to surgical intervention
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory findings to assist in the identification and assessment of surgical conditions
• Work side by side with attending surgeons to develop and carry out individualized surgical care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs
• Deliver hands-on intraoperative assistance including room preparation, patient positioning, sterile field maintenance, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Provide attentive pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound care protocols, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotations with a surgical concentration are strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Valid Florida state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physician Assistant
