Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including comprehensive physical exams and careful review of surgical and medical histories
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory data, and clinical findings to assist in the diagnosis and management of surgical conditions
• Partner with attending surgeons in developing and carrying out individualized, patient-centered treatment and surgical plans
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, ensuring proper patient positioning, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care encompassing medication management, wound care protocols, discharge coordination, and thorough patient and family education

Education

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Clinical rotation experience with an emphasis in surgical settings is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid Florida state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure

Skills

• Solid foundation in surgical technique, sterile field management, and OR protocols
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize diagnostic data and contribute meaningfully to complex clinical decision-making
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with both patients and multidisciplinary team members
