Job Description

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including complete physical examinations and in-depth review of medical histories prior to surgical intervention
• Interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory findings, and test results to support surgical diagnosis and decision-making
• Partner with attending surgeons to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and surgical goals
• Provide hands-on intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, proper patient positioning, and instrument handling throughout procedures
• Oversee comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, encompassing wound management, medication protocols, patient education, and discharge coordination

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required
• Clinical training with a surgical concentration is strongly preferred

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification through NCCPA
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Valid Georgia state licensure or demonstrated eligibility to obtain licensure
