Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations across all demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and thorough observational strategies.
• Design customized treatment plans targeting immediate objectives as well as long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy designed to enhance communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge cohesive care paths.
• Provide education to patients and families, helping to foster progress beyond treatment sessions.
• Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout their therapy journey.
• Document all interventions and progress accurately and conscientiously, adhering to relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advances in the field.

Education

• A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preference for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
