We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join a vibrant birthing center team in the Midwest region. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care to expectant mothers and their newborns. You will play a key part in ensuring a safe and positive birth experience while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide thorough nursing care throughout prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart tones to safeguard the health of mothers and infants.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans in partnership with healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum processes to support informed choices.
• Assist with deliveries and offer emotional and physical support during labor.
• Administer medications and treatments following safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Recognize abnormal labor conditions promptly and take appropriate action per protocol.
• Perform vaginal exams accurately, notify physicians at delivery time, and interpret fetal monitor tracings.

Education and Certification:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per American Heart Association standards.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within one year of hire.

Experience and Training:

• Orientation under supervision covering vaginal labor/delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum, and newborn care tailored to individual learning needs.
• Completion or commitment to complete Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.
• Adherence to all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
