Position Summary: This role involves journeyman-level maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems within a healthcare facility. The mechanic will work from diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer specifications, utilizing hand and power tools along with precision measuring and testing instruments. Responsibilities may extend to electrical equipment, and the individual will assume decision-making duties in the absence of the Facilities Director.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours biweekly, afternoon shift from 4pm to 12:30am.

Education and Experience

Post-secondary education or formal technical training is highly preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ability to read and interpret manuals, building codes, and regulations is essential.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and insurability under the employer's insurance policy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
