We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join a healthcare food and nutrition team in the Midwest region. This role is vital in delivering nutritious and appealing meals to patients, staff, and visitors within a fast-paced clinical environment. The position ensures the highest standards of food safety and sanitation while meeting diverse dietary needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals following established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food prep and serving areas.
- Set up cafeteria serving lines and salad bars.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations to guarantee food safety.
- Label and date all food items, ensuring proper rotation using first-in-first-out methods.
- Prepare patient trays and snacks according to physician diet orders and dietician-approved menus.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during duties.
- Operate kitchen and cafeteria machinery efficiently.
- Deliver and pick up meal trays and snacks promptly to patient care areas.
- Stock kitchen supplies and store groceries properly upon delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with food service protocols.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings preferred.
Requirements
