We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Rehabilitation to join a dedicated healthcare team serving the Midwest region. This role involves delivering comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring each patient receives personalized and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation.
• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs upon admission.
• Develop and prioritize individualized treatment plans based on medical and nursing diagnoses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and supervisors, to optimize patient care.
• Continuously reassess and document patient status and responses to interventions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately.
• Educate patients and their families about disease processes and treatment plans at an understandable level.
• Manage workload efficiently to ensure timely care delivery.
• Perform cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation procedures, stress tests, and assist with pharmacological stress echo testing.
• Support outpatient procedures such as adenosine cardioversions, Holter and event monitoring, and facilitate cardiac and pulmonary support groups.
• Contribute to smoking cessation programs and staff education initiatives.
• Plan and coordinate discharge needs in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid for practice in the region.
• Minimum of one year experience in cardiac rehabilitation nursing.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulse oximetry, and oxygen administration.
• Ability to manage clinical situations involving a limited number of variables with standardized procedures.
• Flexibility and eagerness to adapt and learn to support efficient clinical operations.
