We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a busy One Day Surgery setting, with additional responsibilities floating to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as needed. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, including on-call rotations. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care through thorough assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physical, psychological, spiritual, and social aspects upon patient admission.
• Prioritize treatment plans based on medical and nursing diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized interdisciplinary care plans involving patients and their families.
• Collaborate with physicians, supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Continuously reassess and document patient status and responses to interventions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely, adhering to clinical standards.
• Plan and coordinate discharge needs from admission through hospitalization, involving the care team and family.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to their understanding of the disease process and treatment.
• Manage workload efficiently to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
• Accurately transcribe and communicate physician orders, maintaining thorough documentation.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid for practice in the region.
• Preferably two years of experience in surgical services or related clinical areas.

Certifications and Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per American Heart Association standards.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within one year of hire.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
