Position Overview: This role involves a variety of laboratory duties including blood collection, specimen preparation, data entry, appointment scheduling, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and general lab upkeep. The individual will perform routine technical tasks under the supervision of a clinical laboratory technologist and provide phlebotomy services such as venipuncture, heelsticks, and fingersticks as ordered by physicians.

Travel to local nursing homes and businesses for phlebotomy services and health fairs is also required.

Education & Certification

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within three months of employment.

Experience

Previous office and phlebotomy experience is preferred. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in drawing blood from patients of all ages within 60 days of starting the position.
