Join a dedicated healthcare team as an Advanced Patient Care Technician (CNA) supporting the delivery of compassionate patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. This role involves assisting with obstetric procedures, providing hands-on care, and communicating vital information to the care team to ensure a smooth and efficient nursing unit operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and stock supplies, ensuring inventory adequacy and cost-effective use within budget guidelines.
• Sort and store surgical instruments and supplies in designated areas.
• Support family-centered care principles, promoting positive birth and postpartum experiences.
• Provide clerical support including assembling and disassembling patient charts and answering phones courteously.
• Operate infant security protocols and enter birth-related data into state databases.
• Assist nurses with patient care tasks such as bathing, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and newborn care.
• Transport patients safely and assist with positioning and lifting as needed.
• Participate in patient rounding, staff orientation, and safety drills.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Education and Certification

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a CNA course and listing on the Nurse Aide Registry required.
• Verification of Nurse Aide I course completion or equivalent nursing fundamentals.
• Nurse Aide II-Advanced course preferred and may be offered post-hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association required.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.
