We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care using various therapy modalities as prescribed by healthcare providers or approved protocols. This full-time role involves administering oxygen, aerosol, and bronchodilator treatments following established clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic treatments such as aerosolized medications, mucus clearance, endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning, sputum induction, and incentive spirometry.
• Operate and manage ventilators along with diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
• Maintain accurate clinical and clerical patient records.
• Conduct patient assessments and provide education regarding treatments and procedures.
• Collaborate with home health care services and serve as a resource for healthcare professionals and the community.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, pulmonary function tests, EEGs, and cardiac monitoring such as Holter and stress tests.
• Set up and monitor oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation systems including CPAP/BIPAP and arterial lines.
• Assist in critical care procedures such as CPR, intubation, extubation, trauma care, and patient transport within the facility.
• Evaluate discharge needs throughout hospitalization and coordinate discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team and patient support network.
• Mentor and orient new respiratory therapy personnel.
• Utilize electronic systems for patient orders, charge entry, and documentation of arterial blood gas results.
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance respiratory care services.
• Monitor breath sounds and vital signs, maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Education and Credentials

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program.
• State respiratory care license with CRT or RRT credentials is required.

Experience and Requirements

• At least one year of cardiac rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate flexibility in clinical operations.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
