Position Overview:
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Advanced RN Utilization Review Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring patients receive medically appropriate, high-quality, and cost-effective care by reviewing medical necessity and appropriateness in line with federal and state regulations. You will lead skilled care coordination on the medical/surgical unit, managing admission intakes, interdisciplinary conferences, and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate patient care needs with available resources, ensuring appropriate levels of care and making necessary adjustments. Work independently with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines, demonstrating excellent oral and written communication.

Education:
Must hold a Registered Nurse license from an accredited nursing school. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Experience:
At least one year licensed as a Registered Nurse and a minimum of two years clinical experience in a hospital setting are required.

Certifications:
BLS (CPR) certification is required or must be obtained within three months of employment.
