We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced RN, LPN, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team as a Float Nurse. This role involves delivering comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while collaborating closely with providers to ensure the highest standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, and social conditions within a clinical setting.
• Establish treatment priorities based on nursing and medical diagnoses.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Prepare for and assist with various office procedures.
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers and monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform clinical procedures including injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, tympanograms, EKGs, and vision screenings.
• Make referrals to other healthcare providers and facilities as needed.
• Manage patient communications, including timely return of phone calls and reporting test results with provider instructions.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medication stocks in an organized manner.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to their understanding.
• Use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems in compliance with established guidelines.
• Adhere to confidentiality policies and regulatory standards including HIPAA.
• Participate in required in-service training and staff meetings.

Education and Licensure

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state, or certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) with appropriate credentials.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to calm and support distressed patients and families.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure requirements and training.
