Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Stock Clerk to manage inventory and supply chain operations within a healthcare setting in the Midwest region of the United States. This role involves receiving, controlling, storing, and accurately issuing all inventory items to support smooth departmental functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with various departments to schedule and deliver supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, verify, and accept or reject incoming supplies and equipment.
- Process all necessary documentation such as packing slips, bills of lading, and receiving reports to facilitate payment authorization.
- Adhere to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling hazardous materials responsibly.
- Maintain accurate and neat files and assist in updating the computerized inventory system promptly.
- Operate office equipment including copying and duplicating machines as needed.
- Report any OSHA regulation violations and notify supervisors when supplies need reordering.
- Demonstrate flexibility and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional conduct in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, visitors, and patients, respecting their unique needs.
- Attend required training, certifications, and continuing education to stay current with job requirements.
Education and Certifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Limited liability insurance coverage as specified.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Completion of Mandatory Reporter course within six months of hire.
Experience and Requirements
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Knowledge of proper precautions for infection control, chemical hazards, and environmental safety.
- Strong communication skills for accurate order processing via phone, in person, and written formats.
- Commitment to integrity, credibility, and mission-driven work ethic.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory standards.
