We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team in the Midwest region. This full-time role involves delivering a variety of respiratory therapy treatments and managing advanced respiratory care equipment to support patient health and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer aerosolized medications, mucus clearance techniques, endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning, sputum induction, and incentive spirometry.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BIPAP systems, and arterial lines.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, pulmonary function tests, EEGs, and cardiac monitoring including Holter and stress tests.
• Provide patient education, explaining treatments and procedures clearly and compassionately.
• Collaborate with home health care services and serve as a resource for healthcare professionals and the community.
• Assist with critical care procedures including CPR, intubation, extubation, trauma care, and patient transport within the facility.
• Participate in discharge planning alongside interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
• Mentor and orient new staff members to ensure high standards of respiratory care.
• Maintain accurate clinical and clerical records using current systems.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to optimize respiratory care services.
• Monitor breath sounds and vital signs, maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program.
• State respiratory care license with CRT or RRT credentials required.
• Minimum of one year experience in cardiac rehabilitation preferred.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate flexibility in clinical operations.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory standards.
