We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Palliative Care to join a dedicated healthcare team serving the Midwest region. This role involves delivering comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while supporting physicians and advanced practice providers in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, and social needs within the clinic setting.
• Assist with office procedures and establish treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnoses.
• Administer medications accurately and document patient responses and any adverse effects.
• Perform clinical procedures including injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, EKGs, vision screenings, and more.
• Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and facilities as directed.
• Manage patient communications, including triaging calls and reporting test results promptly.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms, ensuring supplies and medications are replenished.
• Provide patient and family education tailored to their understanding.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively following established protocols.
• Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the state of Iowa or eligibility to work in the state.
• Hospice and Palliative Care experience is preferred.
• Minimum of three years healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic Electronic Health Records is a plus.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support and calm patients and families during distressing situations.
