We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to ensure the availability of clean linens and clothing for patients and staff in a healthcare environment located in the Midwest region of the United States. This full-time, on-site role involves sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens while maintaining a clean and safe laundry area.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort linens and clothing by fiber type, color, and soil level.
• Operate washers and dryers following safety protocols.
• Collect and dispose of soiled linens hygienically.
• Inspect linens for damage or stains and report concerns.
• Manage detergent supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Fold and organize clean linens in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate laundry records in line with department policies.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations, and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dust mopping floors, cleaning dryer filters, and disinfecting equipment surfaces.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow infection control procedures.
• Support equipment maintenance and report repair needs.
• Foster positive working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and visitors.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within healthcare or hospitality settings.

Requirements

• Knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment operation.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, across all organizational levels.
