We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region. This full-time role involves delivering a variety of respiratory therapy treatments and managing advanced respiratory care equipment to support patient health and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic treatments such as aerosolized medications, mucus clearance techniques, suctioning, sputum induction, and incentive spirometry.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BIPAP systems, and other diagnostic and monitoring devices.
• Maintain accurate clinical and clerical patient records.
• Perform patient assessments and provide education on treatments and procedures.
• Collaborate with home health care services and serve as a resource for healthcare professionals and the community.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, pulmonary function tests, oximetry, and cardiac monitoring.
• Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intubation, trauma care, and patient transport during critical situations.
• Participate in discharge planning alongside interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
• Mentor and orient new staff members to the respiratory care unit.
• Utilize electronic systems for patient orders, charge entry, and documentation of quality improvement activities.
• Monitor breath sounds and vital signs, maintaining positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Education and Credentials

• Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care license with CRT or RRT credentials.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.

Experience and Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in cardiac rehabilitation or related respiratory care.
• Ability to manage clinical problems involving standardized procedures and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire if not already completed.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
