Join a dynamic healthcare team as a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist, providing essential diagnostic testing across a variety of body fluids including blood, urine, cerebrospinal, and synovial fluids. This role involves performing high complexity tests, evaluating quality controls, calibrations, and ensuring accurate results to support patient care in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex laboratory testing on diverse specimens with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Analyze and interpret test results, quality controls, and calibration data to maintain laboratory standards.
• Perform venipunctures and capillary blood collections, ensuring proper patient identification and specimen handling.
• Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations with a required 20-minute response time.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required.

Experience and Certification

Certification through ASCP, NCA, AMT, MT (AMT), MT (HEW), CLS, or an equivalent credential is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and willingness to cover 24-hour staffing needs, including varied shifts and on-call duties.

Requirements

Must be able to respond to on-call duties within 20 minutes under all weather conditions. Provisions for on-site accommodations during severe weather may be available.
