We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Sonographer to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region. In this role, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac conditions through expert ultrasound imaging. Collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, you will provide vital information that supports patient care and treatment planning.

Your responsibilities include performing echocardiograms using advanced 2D, color flow, and spectral Doppler imaging techniques to evaluate cardiac structures accurately. You will measure echocardiographic parameters, input data into the Cardiac Reporting System, and assess the hemodynamic impact of various cardiac diseases following established protocols.

Additional duties involve educating and supporting patients by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. You will perform a variety of exams including adult echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, limited pediatric echocardiograms, and utilize saline contrast and ultrasound enhancing agents as needed. Effective communication of critical findings to physicians and team members is essential.

Education

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field or completion of an accredited echocardiography program.
• Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography (AE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or registry eligibility upon hire with successful certification within 12 months.
